Craft Update

I had to put myself on a break last week because of the work schedule I had. So this week I am back in full effect. I have been trying to so hard to catch up on my online craft class, but that just seems impossible. So I’ve decided that Im just going to do the projects where I want to give as gifts and then save the other one’s for when I have time. I wish I could just craft every day, but that doesn’t bring home money..yet.

Last night, I was working on some cute little hair accessories, while the football game was on. Sorry, I have to keep myself occupied while the testosterone is flowing through my house. So I decided to make some cute little headbands. Check em’ out.

And Im ALMOST done with my scarf. I learned to crochet and I thought I would be awesome and decide to make a Rugby style scarf for my first project. haha..wow..did I decide to take on the world. Ive had a little bit of hard time with this one, but I think its coming out pretty good??

Halloweenie??

Happy Monday everyone! Halloween is rapidly approaching and I’ve been struggling to find a costume. Robert and I have been stalking the internet trying to find the best costumes, but we have been unsuccessful. We have my sister’s Halloween/Birthday party this weekend and last year we won first for the Halloween costume contest and we are hoping to make that 2 years in a row. Competitive much? Yup! haha! Then on Halloween night our friend Hung, or should I say, Hungoween!! we are going over to his house for his Birthday! Soo..Thoughts? Here are some of the ideas that I have been thinking??

Flashdance Moment…

Yesterday was my last day at BCBG for my “Trial Run..” or was it?? NOPE!! Guess what super cool chick landed the job..That’s right..THIS ONE! hehe..It was probably the most intense and stressful week I’ve had in a really long time, but let me say it was way worth it. After 40 hours of working really hard and just making sure I was the model employee it all paid off. They came to me at 10am on Friday morning and offered me the job. They said that my work was great and that they are looking forward to having me part of the team. So with that said, I start on Monday October 26th! And I am so excited! All I gotta say is I had a Flashdance Moment once I got in the car! Happy Weekend Everyone!!!

Nervous!

Its Sunday afternoon, and I am stressing out! Tomorrow I am starting a freelance “Trial Period” over at BCBG. I am SUPER nervous. I interviewed there about a month ago, and I got a call about two weeks ago asking me to come in for a Trial Period of a week. So all next week I will be working at BCBG in hopes of getting a job there. This is probably one of the biggest opportunities in my career. To have the privilege of even being considered at such an established brand is an honor. Even if I didn’t get the job there, It is great to have the chance to freelance there and show them what I can do. So wish me luck! And Hopefully I don’t pass out when I go in tomorrow!!!!

Gap!

This past weekend I headed over to the Gap, to try on their new denim that I have been reading so much about. And, SUCCESS! I found a pair of jeans that fit great and won’t cost me an arm and a leg to buy. I tried on the, “Curvy,” the “Sexy Boot,” and the “Perfect Boot.” And all of them fit so good I wanted to buy them all!! I opted for the “Perfect Boot.” I am for sure going back and buying them all next time around.

5 Things I Love..Fall

If you live in California you know that we don’t really have “seasons.” Its either hot or hot, haha! This past weekend I started to feel the chill in the air and you can tell, for California, that the season is starting to change. The smell of the air was crisper and the temperature wasn’t as hot. I love this time of year. The leaves that do change color, are starting to change and last night I actually had to put another blanket on my bed. The last couple of days I have been on a Domestic Quest. I decided that since I was home that I should be making dinner for me and Robert, considering he works all day. So, I went to the grocery store and bought somethings to start making dinners, lunches, and breakfast at home. This morning I made potatoes and egg whites, super yummy. And tonight Im making Chicken Stir Fry. Not, to mention the fact that I busted out the sewing machine and was working with that today. Who am I?? Did I morph into a stay at home mom (even though I don’t have kids) and not know it?? haha! I must say though, this whole staying home bit I could get use to! Its nice to wake up, have some coffee, read some emails, work on freelance for awhile, then work on crafts. I mean, its great! This is the happiest I’ve been in a really long time. I know it won’t last forever, but I will bask in the glory a little longer! So, here’s to me..haha..HAPPY Homeing!!

Dominique and Johnny’s Wedding

This last weekend was spent with one of my closest friends, Dominique. I’ve known Dominique for about 2 years now and I’ve known her HUSBAND since I was 16!! They moved in around the corner from Robert and I about 2 years ago, and ever since then Dominique and I have become so close. She truly is a great friend and I am so happy to have been apart of her wedding. The wedding was held in Johnny’s Aunt’s Backyard in Rancho Cucamonga. I helped Dominique with the “coordinating” of the wedding so that she wouldn’t have to worry about it. I think the wedding went off great and everyone had a great time. They are on their Honeymoon in the Dominican Republic right now and I can’t wait till they are home so we can hear all about it!! Love you Mr. and Mrs. Reeves!!
