Hopefully Dreams Can Come True..

Hello..Happy Friday!! This morning was kind of a rough morning. Last night I got home and my little yorkie, Skiba, was not acting like himself. So, I took him to the vet today and he has had to be there all day for observation. đŸ˜Ļ My poor little pup I hope that everything is okay. I am sure it will be the doctor thought he might just be dehydrated and constipated, so let’s hope for the best.

So..On a lighter note..I am super excited to be starting ANOTHER online class through Red Velvet Art. This class is about how to start your own online indie business. For those of you that know me personally, I love love making things, but unfortunaltey having a full time job does not allow me to persue every craft project that I would like to make. Through this class it is just another tool from other Indie Artists that pretty much started where I was where they turned their hobby into an reality. I hope that one day I can work for myself and be my own boss. I am so excited to start this class!!! 🙂 Who know’s..it could be my next adventure!

Happy Weekend!

If you don’t know I am a Graphic Designer for the Apparel Industry. I am online all day looking for new ideas and Inspiration. Most of my days consist of looking at new fashion trends for clothing along with new trends for design. So..with that..Lets enjoy the “The Type Files.” I am driving my typography and right now that seems to be my newest obsession. Here are just some new items to add to the Type Files. Enjoy! On a happier note! Its Valentine’s Day this Weekend!! Now, I know that most people think this is a “Hallmark” Holiday, but take a moment and just say I love you to that special person in your life. And remember that sometimes the littlest phrase can mean the world. Happy Valentines Day!

Show A Little Support

Wow! Life happens and so much time passes. I am in the process of working on a new site for my portfolio and for my personal blog so please bear with me for the lack of posting.

In the meantime though, I have decided to take on the challenge of participating in this years Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. I have had people close to me die from this disease and I have known people who have suffered from this disease as well. I will be walking 39.3 miles on the weekend of September 11th and 12th in Santa Barbara. I would appreciate it if anyone would help me reach my goal of $1800.00!! Please visit my link below and help me with the rewarding challenge I have set for myself!

Style Muse: Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Deschanel was born in 1980 into a showbiz family. Her father, Caleb Deschanel is an Academy Award-nominated cinematographer (perhaps most notably for The Passion of the Christ (2004)) and her mother, Mary Jo Deschanel (nÊe Weir) is an actress who starred in “Twin Peaks” (1990). Driven from an early age to become a successful actress, Zooey got her big break aged 17 playing a model in TV sitcom “Veronica’s Closet” (1997). She got her first film role the following year in Mumford (1999), which prompted her to quit university to pursue acting full-time. Mostly thanks to a role in Cameron Crowe’s popular biopic, Almost Famous (2000), Zooey’s rise to fame has been steadily increasing as the 21st century wears on. Her distinctive acting style found her critical acclaim in 2003 when she was voted Best Actress at the Mar Del Plata Film Festival for her role in David Gordon Green’s All the Real Girls (2003). She also gained a Best Female Lead nomination (for All the Real Girls (2003)) at the following year’s Independent Spirit Awards, but lost out to Charlize Theron.
